Pina

Dru Yoga & Meditation

I am a qualified Dru Yoga & Meditation teacher and am passionate to inspire a naturally healthier way of living.

Dru yoga is based on the ancient yogic tradition. It is heart centred, based on soft flowing movements, yet this empowering style of yoga transforms the body’s energy system, calms the mind using techniques which work gently and effectively to relieve the enormous stresses & pressures of modern-day living, improves flexibility, creating core stability and increase your energy levels.

Suitable for people of all ages and abilities. Please bring mat, blanket and water bottle to class.

For enquires please contact Pina on 0428 337 204

Julie

Everlasting Yoga and Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the science of healthy living through diet and lifestyle. According to Ayurveda we all have a unique constitution relating to the five elements of ether, air, fire, water and earth. From ether and air comes Vata, from fire and an aspect of water comes Pitta, and from water and earth comes Katha.

We all have the five elements in our constitution and usually one or two of these elements is more dominant. Ayurveda can help to keep these five elements of nature in balance with a diet and lifestyle that ensures the body and mind are content and without Disease.

Yoga is the sister science of Ayurveda and works to balance not only the physical parts of our being, it also addresses the constant turnings of the mind.

My name is Julie and I will be teaching Yoga with a beginner’s and intermediate class Wednesday mornings and two classes on Thursdays. I teach the style of Yin Yoga and will bring the science of Ayurveda into my teaching. I look forward to meeting new students at Stepping Stones.

Please call 0416 883 876 for inquiries.

Please bring mat, blanket and water bottle to class.

Gary

Tai Chi & Qi Gong

I have been teaching Tai Chi for 35 years.

Tai Chi is an exercise for health and well-being. Tai Chi may provide relief in a range of disorders including anxiety, arthritis, fatigue, joint stiffness and stress.

Health benefits are derived from the Tai Chi’s slow, gentle and tranquil movements which enable harmony in body and mind, improved mobility, suppleness and mental alertness.

People of all ages and fitness levels can practice and benefit from Tai Chi. Loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes should be worn to class.

Qi Gong literally means ‘breathing exercise’. It is a great way to unwind and promote health and a greater sense of well-being.

For more information about Tai Chi and Qi Gong, please visit http://www.taichiaustralia.com.au.

For class information, please call Gary on 0407 855 344. The cost for classes with Gary is $10 per class.

Daile

Pilates

Pilates improves flexibility, balance and builds core strength. It emphasises correct posture, alignment, breathing and isolating core muscles. The exercises can be modified to suit beginners.

I have been teaching Pilates for 10 years primarily using floor / mat work.

For class information, please contact Stepping Stones on 5782 2978

Bronwyn

Pilates

I have been working in the fitness industry for more than 20 years as a group fitness instructor, Aqua instructor and personal trainer. I have an interest in women’s health and currently work in Allied Health.

I have been teaching Pilates for a number of years and continually updating my knowledge and skill through personal development and study.

I love Pilates, it encompasses many elements of fitness including strength, flexibility, endurance, power and encourages focus on body alignment and pelvic stability. Pilates exercises will not only strengthen weak muscles, but will also elongate muscles that tend to be tight resulting in improved joint mobility, improved muscle elasticity and complete body balance.

This particular class is mat based and a great exercise program for people of all ages, abilities and fitness level.

For more details about Bronwyn’s classes, please call her on 0417 822 338

Psychology

Leanne Jackson

Registered Psychologist

With a history in working in many different settings both within organisations and private practice I am now enjoying working from the peaceful and friendly environment at Stepping Stones. I am focusing primarily on counselling adults needing support in dealing with internal struggles and external life situations. These may include issues with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self esteem, relationship and social difficulties, health issues, life transitions and adjustments, stress management and so on. Working together we aim to build a safe space in which we can challenge old habits and patterns, overcome barriers and make positive changes in our lives. Understanding that each person is unique, I employ an integrated approach using a range of psychological techniques and styles.

The study and practice of meditative approaches to working with the mind has proven invaluable in my personal life and clinical work. I can teach these practices, especially mindfulness meditation, to individuals when appropriate. Through various approaches, including self compassion practices, we can work towards creating our lives in ways that may feel more meaningful and joyful.

With a strong commitment to encouraging a healthy mind and body approach we can also work on a range of lifestyle issues and choices.

I am able to provide services under Medicare, Workcover, TAC and DVA.
