At Stepping Stones we provide your Doctor with the support to enable them to focus on providing quality health care to their community that is reliable, friendly, supportive, educational and open-minded. We are passionate about supporting your General Practice and Family Medicine practitioners who encourage and promote individual wellbeing, self care and health
Your practitioners, supported by our nurses, offer a variety of services and different appointment styles to accommodate the health needs and priorities of each of their patients. This includes a full range of general medical and health care with your GP, nursing staff, acute care, immunisations and practitioners of mind and body therapies.
We support your Doctor, who is passionate about health, with care, compassion and respect.
We value nature, open-space, light, gardens - the practice includes an outdoor waiting garden, children’s areas, solar energy and solar passive design. Set on approximately two acres, Stepping Stones is open and inviting.
Please note, Stepping Stones is currently unable to make a booking on behalf of your practitioner if you are a new patient (unless the new patient is a child of an existing, active patient and under the age of 18). The practitioners we support have implemented a waiting list - please call reception to provide your details. You will be notified when a place becomes available with your chosen practitioner.
For existing patients, appointments with your practitioner can be made by calling our reception staff on (03) 5782 2978 or by BOOKING ONLINE.
When you call to make a booking, we will ask you who your Doctor is and the length of the appointment you wish to make with your Doctor.
The practitioners we support have allocated a number of ‘Book on the Day’ appointment slots for their patients. The aim is to allow you to see your Doctor for non-routine or urgent appointments. These appointments only become available on the day and can be booked by calling reception.
In periods of high demand, the Doctors we support also run ‘acute clinics’. These are shorter appointments to allow you access to see your Doctor when you are acutely unwell (i.e. a new onset of symptoms such as cold and flu, rashes, fever, UTI etc).
Our Practice Nurses are also available to assist and assess people on the day.
If you require a repeat prescription, you can obtain it in one of three ways…
1. Make the request online via HotDoc by clicking the link below. Please note that this service is only available to you if you are an existing patient of your Doctor and this will incur a $15 fee if the prescription is collected or sent via escipt, or $16 to have the prescription posted.
2. Make an appointment to see your Doctor by BOOKING ONLINE or calling Stepping Stones on (03) 5782 2978
3. The Doctors we support run a number of script clinics from Stepping Stones solely for the purpose of providing repeat prescriptions. The script clinics run four days a week. Appointments for the script clinic can only be made over the phone.
